Mix Ingredients
• Mix together your flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and nutmeg until they combine• Add warm water gradually while mixing until it is thick and sticky• Add your vanilla extract now and mix again well - 2
Allow Mix to Rise
• Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour for it to rise• Allow it until the mix doubles in size and the surface has bubbles - 3
Heat Oil and Fry
• Pour your oil into a deep pot. It is important that the pot be deep.• Heat on medium until the oil is hot but not smoking. You can test if it is hot enough by dropping a tiny piece of batter into the oil. If it rises slowly and bubbles, then your oil is ready.• Use a spoon or your hand to carry tiny pieces of batter and carefully drop in the hot oil. Do not drop in too many at ounce, or they will glue together.• Turn them from time to time until both sides are golden brown ( It should take about 5 minutes ) - 4
Serve
• Remove puff puff with a strainer and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.• Serve with beans, pap, tea, or coffee
